Al Ansar Club announced its agreement with national coach Saleh Al-Mahmadi to lead the first team on a three-season contract, aiming to build a long-term technical project and strengthen stability within the team.
Board Chairman Mohammed bin Awda Al-Beladi said Al-Mahmadi was chosen for his extensive experience at national-team and club level, expecting him to deliver the qualitative contribution that helps the team meet fans’ aspirations and regain its natural place among competitors.
Al-Mahmadi enjoyed a distinguished playing career with Al-Ahli and the national team before moving into coaching, with notable successes including winning the Arab Youth Cup twice, as well as coaching spells at Al-Ahli and Al-Hazem — making him one of the Kingdom’s leading national coaching talents today.
